The invaders recognised that the situation concerning the water in the Crimean artificially impounded water bodies has not become better in spite of the atmospheric precipitations. That was reported by so-called manager of the Department of Hydrology and Hydrological Forecasts of the Crimean Meteorological Office Natalia Okhrimenko.

‘We have a great lack of water. The artificially impounded water bodies are already not like water storage reservoirs. They are becoming choked with grass and bushes. Their hydraulic facilities are being exposed to hazard. The water level in the artificially impounded water bodies is below the dead storage capacity mark, i.e. less than 30%. We have the artificially impounded water bodies where the water level is 4%, 5%, and 6%’, affirms Ms. Okhrimenko.

As Ms. Okhrimenko says, the artificially impounded water bodies can be saved only by a powerful snowfall.
