On September 22, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, delivered an online speech at the session of the UN General Assembly regarding the cessation of Russian aggression and punishment for it. More than a hundred countries of the world voted for the possibility of such a speech, and Russia and only six of its satellites attempted to counteract against it.
In his speech, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that it is impossible to restore global security without restoring the territorial integrity of those against whom armed aggression was directed. The President of Ukraine pointed to the need for punishment for the catastrophic turbulence that Russia provoked with its illegal war, and not only for Ukrainians, but also for the whole world.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that while the aggressor is a party to decision-making in international organizations, he should be isolated in them, at least for the duration of the aggression, deprived of voting rights, delegation and veto rights in the UN Security Council.
The head of the Ukrainian state indicated that a special tribunal should be created to punish Russia for the crime of aggression against our state. It will send a signal to all would-be aggressors that they must value peace or be held accountable by the world.
The President of Ukraine separately determined that “we cannot agree to a postponed war, because it will be even hotter than now”.
At the same time, assessing the relevant criminal statements, actions and plans of the leadership of the aggressor state, possibly know to Ukrainian authorities, Volodymyr Zelenskyy drew the special attention of the countries of the world to Russian radiation blackmail. “This is something that should concern each and every one of you, because none of you will find a vaccine against radiation sickness,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.
