On August 18, following the results of negotiations in Lviv with the President of Turkey and the UN Secretary General, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that “you and I can and should only think about how to win. To win on the battlefield, on the political front, in the information confrontation, in the economic plane”.

Also, on August 18, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on Twitter that Ukraine now has the opportunity to de-occupy its territories seized by Russia. “Regarding the question, to what extent is the restoration of borders the goal of Ukraine? Only complete de-occupation up to the borders of 1991. Any territorial compromise with the Kremlin is a war postponed for the future. It is today that there is a chance to break the spine of the Russian “colossus on clay legs”, emphasized the secretary of the NSDC.

And the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, said in an interview about the occupied Crimea that “we will ask the sun, wind, water and even tobacco products so that they can effectively work behind ammunition warehouses. On the other hand, we will continue to insist that Russia voluntarily dismantles all illegal bases and bridges that have been built in Crimea for eight years”, Podolyak added, promising the occupiers a “bright velvet season”.
