As “media”, controlled by the Russian aggressor reported on August 17, some “employees of Kherson’s energy systems” allegedly arrived in the occupied Crimea “for retraining and advanced training.”
The occupational aggressor’s “administrations” have repeatedly declared the criminal intention of “connecting the energy systems” of the occupied districts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhya regions and Crimea, and at the same time, the aggressor traditionally pays significant attention to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.

As Petr Kotin, president of the Ukrainian concern “Energoatom”, said yesterday, the aggressor criminally wants to disconnect the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant from the united energy system of Ukraine, after which he will try to connect it to the Crimea. But when this nuclear power plant does not have communication with the country’s unified energy system, it will automatically go into blackout mode. The leadership of Ukraine announced the joint work with the IAEA to send a mission of this international organization to the nuclear power plant.

At the same time, the Russian occupiers criminally carry out constant, daily shelling of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, blaming the Ukrainian army for them. The actual purpose of these crimes is not only the nuclear blackmail of Europe, but also the creation of obstacles for the visit of the IAEA mission to the power plant, as well as the artificial creation of conditions for stopping the nuclear power plant precisely in order to try to reconnect it to the Crimean energy system and “bypass” the blackout of the plant.
At the same time, as part of the relevant propaganda, since August 18, the aggressor began to spread through the telegram channels controlled by him “incriminating information” about the allegedly “poor technical condition of the Zaporizhzhya NPP” that has developed in recent years.

This disinformation of the occupiers also aims to “justify” the criminal shutdown of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and reconnect it to the energetic system of the occupied Crimea.
