It has already been reported that the occupiers this year are forced to “solemnly celebrate” May 9 as a so-called “victory day” under the least dubious “success” of a Russia’s large-scale invasion of mainland Ukraine.

We wrote that the aggressor’s propaganda places the main “burden” on holding “victory parades” on the occupied Crimea, as the relevant measures have been canceled by the aggressor in the occupied East of Ukraine. As for the occupied mainland’s South, the aggressor seeks to hold “at least some” measures on May 9.

At the same time, the “holiday concerts”, organized by the Russian invaders in Henichesk, Skadovsk and other cities on May 5 and 6 turned out to be too insignificant even for the aggressor’s propaganda, as they managed to oust a couple of dozen retirees.

Therefore, the Russian occupiers are currently focusing on mass actions of the so-called “immortal regiment”, but they also do not expect the mass of these phenomena in the occupied areas of Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. In particular, on May 9, Ukrainian resistance forces announced protests at least in Kherson, Nova Kakhovka, and Melitopol.

Therefore, according to the criminal plan of the aggressor, the occupied Crimea should again “be responsible” for the massiveness of the “victory events”. The invaders plan to show a general picture of the alleged “people’s unity of victory” on both sides of Perekop, but they also faced a number of problems.

For example, in Sevastopol and Simferopol, some collaborators have taken the initiative to participate in the passage of relatives of the Crimean aggressors’ soldiers who died in February 2022, carrying their portraits.

However, since hundreds of such victims have already died in the Crimea, it has become obvious that the level of losses, suffered by the aggressor will be revealed, and at the same time it is difficult for propaganda to ban such a “people’s initiative” for political reasons.

This was characterized by the statement of Natalia Poklonskaya, who brought together in her role of “Deputy Chairman” of “Rossotrudnichestvo” in Moscow the mothers of Russian conscripts who died, went missing or were taken prisoner since February 2022.

Crimean collaborators see such moves as a “political game” and they do not understand them and fear a “vector change” in Kremlin policy, particularly in the “personnel dimension”.

In addition, the aggressor is taking unprecedented security measures; For example, in Yevpatoria, citizens were told to take part in a “rally” on May 9 without bags, strollers and small children, and only after a “special security check”.

It will be recalled that in the same Yevpatorian locals recently smashed the car of a Russian colonizer because of the letter “Z” pasted on it, and similar “incidents” took place in other cities of the occupied peninsula.

Thus, the fears of Russian propaganda about the fiasco of the mass “immortal regiments”, in particular in the Crimea, are not so detached from reality.
