The annual session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Peoples took place at the United Nations’ New York Headquarters this week, with a strong delegation of representatives of Ukraine and its indigenous peoples.

In their statements, the participants pointed to the criminal activities of the Russian aggressor in the occupied Crimea and to the crimes, committed by the Russian invaders in the occupied districts of Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, in particular against the indigenous peoples of Ukraine.

In particular, the founder of the “Karaites’ Union of Ukraine” Professor Olena Arabadzhi spoke in her speech, about the horrific crimes of the Russian occupiers committed in Melitopol.

Speaking as part of the Ukrainian delegation, the expert of our Association, Professor Borys Babin, particularly noted the facts of abductions, murders and imprisonment by Russian aggressors of representatives of the Crimean Tatar community of Kherson region.
