It has now become known that the space agencies of the United States, Canada and the European Union have refused “Roscosmos`” chairman Rogozin on his ultimate demand to lift sanctions on the Russian space industry established for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

In 2021, we reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense is deploying 12 laser-optical and radio engineering complexes throughout the aggressor-controlled territory, including the occupied Crimea, by 2025. In 2021, our Association conducted a large-scale study of the military occupiers’ use of Russia-captured objects in Crimea, such as unique radio telescopes.

Attempts by the Russians to criminally involve these facilities in the interstate project of the Spectrum-X-Gamma astrophysical laboratory (“Spectrum-RG” project), which studies the universe in the X-ray range, which was to be carried out jointly by Roscosmos, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and NASA.

The project could lead to the formation of new geolocations systems by the aggressor state a series of that will be used by all types of aggressor’s troops. In March 2022, our Association officially and reasonably appealed to NASA and all European authorized agencies, including government and research institutions, such as DLR to stop any cooperation in space with all Russian structures.
