In the last two years, our Association has repeatedly reported on the purposeful policy of Russian colonization of Crimea, one of the forms of which was the mass construction of housing for persons, who come to Crimea from Russia illegally. At the same time, a significant part of the colonizers bought these homes in mortgages and other forms of credit. Currently, in the context of the financial crisis caused by Russian aggression, the Central Bank of Russia has raised the rate to 20% per annum, after which lending rates were raised by all banks operating illegally in the Crimea and applying for loans. This leads to mass panic among “new Crimeans” who understand that under the current conditions of a “special financial operation”, their homes in the occupied Crimea will be the prey of Russian banks and collectors.
