From the very beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014, the Russian occupiers did not stop trying to get water supply to the Crimea through the North Crimean Canal. Agressor’s bribery, blackmail, intimidation, and fake “lawsuits” were unsuccessful. The aggressor state does not hide that the current large-scale invasion was aimed at both “recognition of Russian Crimea” and the provision of water supply through the canal to the peninsula. Already on the morning of February 24, the first efforts of the enemy were aimed at capturing the entire canal, the dam of the Kakhovka power plant and the cities of Tavriya and Nova Kakhovka. But as of the morning of February 26, 2022 in Nova Kakhovka, due to the failure of the Russian “blitzkrieg”, mass hostilities continue. That is why the Russian invader’s propaganda has suddenly started to declare that allegedly “water supply to Crimea may be delayed due to the poor technical course of the canal”. But this is an outright LIE, because almost to the administrative border with the Crimea in the Kherson Region, the channel has been actively operated by users for eight years and is in good technical condition. Meanwhile, the occupiers extended the “vacation” in Crimean schools until March 6.
