Our Association submitted the application to the UN Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, Ms. Tlaleng Mofokeng, regarding the topic of her ongoing researches “Violence and its impact on the right to health.” Submission grounded on ARC’s expert researches that are related with human rights of Crimean residents and ethnic groups, including their right to development, to food, to water, to health, with relevant cultural, economic, social and financial impacts.

Association’s submission was devoted to the situation of conflict gender based violence, including violence against indigenous Crimean Tatar women in the Crimea. ARC reflected the issues of such conflict gender based violence with sufficient negative COVID impact in situation of total degradation the medical aid system in the occupied Crimea. Association proved in its submission to UN Rapporteur that Issues of conflict gender based violence in the Crimea are connected with relevant levels of total impunity from the Russia-controlled “authorities”.
