On December 9-10, 2021, in Kharkiv, with the support of the Project Coordinator of the OSCE and the structures of the European Union, the V International Medical and Legal Forum was held, at which our Association’s experts raised the issues of systemic violations of the rights of Crimean residents by the aggressor State during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as aspects of Russian invaders’ illegal experiments at the Crimean Anti-Plague Station. During the discussion of these issues, Professor Boris Babin also drew the participants’ special attention to the problem of legal qualifying the ecocide crime, which has become in demand in the context of the ongoing reform of the criminal legislation of Ukraine. It is expected that the Association’s developments will be borrowed in the further development of relevant legal amendments.
