In November 2021, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, held the final session of the next, V Academy of Public Diplomacy of the Crimean Tatars. The academy is an online training of concerned activists and representatives of public organizations, who have previously proved their motivation and abilities to the organizers. During the final session, students worked on the development of new campaigns and messages that will be implemented in the future within the international movement #LIBERATECRIMEA. For example, creative posters were developed as part of the nonviolent struggle for the return of the Crimea, the release of political prisoners and respect for human rights on the peninsula. An expert of our Association, Professor Borys Babin, told the audience about international mechanisms for human rights protection and on the impact of international organizations on member states, he analyzed the use of international mechanisms in the context of human rights protection in the Crimea.
