The Hague Court of Appeal delivered a long-awaited decision in favor of the Ukrainian people. This final judgment was expected since 2016, when Russia appealed against the decision of the court of first instance in The Hague on the return of the collection of Crimean museums to the controlled territory of Ukraine.

The Hague Court of Appeal, in a decision announced on October 26, emphasized that the gold belongs to the State of Ukraine.

Presiding Judge Paulina Hofmeyer-Rütten announced that these objects are part of the cultural heritage of Ukraine and should be transferred to the Ukrainian side of case.
