Experts of our Association took part in the Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting “Digital Technologies and Human Rights – Opportunities and Challenges” that was held by OSCE online 12-13 July, 2021 and was devoted to the human rights and fundamental freedoms in the digital age, for collection and use of personal data and the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence. Professor Borys Babin mentioned in his submission to the participants on risks of the non-controlled interfering by Russian “authorities” and punitive structures located in the Crimea, to the Internet traffic and automatic navigation systems for fundamental human rights. The relevant negative examples were given to the OSCE delegations and experts, with notice on the brutal violation by Russia the relevant prescripts of the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Maritime Navigation, 1988 in the maritime waters around Crimea and with mentioning the Russia’s modern destructive policy in the International Telecommunication Union.
