Experts of Association took part in the Virtual Consultation for Central and Eastern Europe and the Central Asia region on the subject of “Human Rights-Compatible International Investment Agreements”. Such Consulations, as the part of UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights’ activities of, were held by the Polish Institute for Human Rights and Business and united representatives of more than 20 countries of our region. Professor Borys Babin stressed in his submission the specific situation of legal defence the investments in the occupied Crimea regarding the Ukrainian-Russian Bilateral Investment Treaty, 1998 and norms of the international human rights law defending the right to property. Professor Surya Deva, Vice Chair of the pointed UN Working Group and other scientists discussed proposal of the Virtual Consultation for future report to the UN on the relevant issues.
