Russian media spread the thesis of “Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea” Serhiy Trofimov on the preparation of a “statement on the crime of international terrorism” due to the termination of water supply to the peninsula by the North Crimean Canal in 2014. The collaborator emphasizes that such a “statement” will lead to a “criminal case” against Mustafa Dzhemilev, Lenur Islamov, Petro Poroshenko, Refat Chubarov and Andriy Senchenko, and in the future will allegedly become the basis for calculating and making “material demands” to Ukraine.
It is worth to recall that before the occupation of Crimea, Serhiy Trofimov worked in Simferopol as an associate professor (docent) at the Crimean Law Institute of the National Law Academy and in 2013 he defended his doctoral dissertation in Kharkiv on “countering international terrorism”. At the same time, in June 2014, in the occupied Crimea, associate professor Trofimov actually “appointed” himself to the position of “Deputy Director for Administrative and Economic Affairs” and “Acting Director” of this Institute. After that, the state-owned property of this Institute was illegally alienated, in particular for the benefit of individuals.
Docent Trofimov’s current ambitious statements have not only criticized the content of his “scientific research” on terrorism, but also ridiculed the fact that most of the “international terrorists” he claimed could not be related to the termination of water supply to Crimea in April 2014, in particular – because of their stay at that time on the occupied peninsula. In addition, in comments on social networks, former Crimean students of associate professor Trofimov discussed his corrupt actions in Institute before the occupation. Apparently, now the “creative abilities and skills” of docent Trofimov have received, with the appropriate “federal funding”, a new level of development.
