On March 30, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a Statement on the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict. This act emphasizes the ongoing militarization of Crimea, indicates that the number of Russian troops on the peninsula has increased to 40 thousand and continues to grow.
The Ukrainian parliament indicated that the number of deployed military equipment in Crimea is increasing and pointed that the restoration of nuclear potential continues in peninsula. Separately, Verkhovna Rada notes that at least 66 complexes are already present on the territory of the peninsula, capable of sending missiles with nuclear warheads.
